On the sidelines of the COP-27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Major General Hisham Amna, the Minister of Local Development, highlighted the role of Quality Standards Information Technology (QSIT) in the joint digitization projects between the Ministry of Local Development and the World Food Programme. He stated, "The first version of the geospatial portal, implemented in collaboration with QSIT, a leading company in the field of geographic information systems, has been launched for the Ministry of Local Development."
He further explained that the geospatial portal of the Ministry of Local Development serves as a gateway that encompasses all activities, information, and relevant spatial data related to citizen services, initiatives, and various projects. It facilitates communication between the ministry and citizens. Due to the significant success achieved in the first phase of the geospatial portal, coordination is currently underway to initiate a fruitful second collaboration to implement the second phase.
