QSIT & Ministry of Manpower celebrated the launch of the pilot phase of the geospatial portal for digitizing the ministry's services

In a grand ceremony held at a hotel in Cairo, titled "Towards Decent Job Opportunities for Youth in the Digital Transformation Era," Quality Standards Information Technology (QSIT) - the golden partner of Esri - celebrated in collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower and representatives from the World Food Programme the launch of the pilot phase of the geospatial portal for digitizing the ministry's services. This marks a significant step in Egypt's national strategy for digital transformation.

His excellency Minister Hassan Shihata of the Ministry of Manpower commended the efforts of the team responsible for developing the portal, as it supports the ministry's plan to enhance current information technology systems, disseminate knowledge, and provide accurate and up-to-date information for all ministry services and projects. The portal facilitates planning, decision-making processes, real-time communication with the public, and the presentation and analysis of ministry data at multiple administrative levels using cutting-edge geographic information system tools and systems, thus enabling decision-makers.

He called for the initiation of the second phase of the portal, focusing on activities that reflect the priorities of the Egyptian government and the ministry across various domains.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Manpower was awarded the Global Excellence in Geographic Information System (GIS) Systems SAG Award by Esri through a competition that received over 100,000 projects from around the world. This project is considered one of the most important GIS projects in Egypt, aiming to support decision-making and monitor performance indicators related to the Ministry of Manpower.
