Esri NeA Celebrated GIS Day for the Fifth Year in a Row!

Last Thursday, November 21st, Esri NeA celebrated “GIS Day 2019” in collaboration with the prestigious Bibliotheca Alexandrina.  The event kicked off with speeches from Eng. Kholoud Saad, Eri NeA (Distributor)’s CEO, and Dr. Amgad ElGohary, Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Libraries Sector Head. The activities’ packed event witnessed a panel discussion gathering some of Egypt’s most prominent names in the GIS industry including Eng. Kholoud Saad, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Baraka, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Noureddine AlSabaawi, Prof. Dr. Amr Hanafy, Prof. Dr. Hamdy ElGamily, and Mr. Ahmed Yousry Abdel Aziz, a presentation titled “Inspiring What’s Next” given by Eng. Hussein ElKhouly, Esri NeA’s Business Development Manager, a maps’ exhibition, a number of professional GIS workshops offered by our Esri NeA certified instructors titled as follows: •    Decision Making with Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS •    ArcGIS Pro Essentials for Map users •    Tips & Tricks for digital Map Creation •    Essentials of Building Web Apps with ArcGIS API for JavaScript •    Geodata Management Essentials Finally finishing up the eventful day, was the anticipated announcement and awards’ handing of our Maps Quiz winners among the attendees’ cheers. Holding this hugely successful event for the fifth year in a row is the greatest proof of the importance of GIS, and the growing interest and enthusiasm of this science that’s meant to enhance our daily lives’ through geography.
