Dara Petroleum Company (Petrodara), a subsidiary of Transglobe; requested a solution that provides high data rate connectivity between Hana office and a total of 6 remote sites. Alkan provided the perfect solution that empowered seamless connectivity between the nominated sites namely Hana Camp, West Hana, Warehouse, Hoshiea, Ras Gharib Telecom Egypt Exchange, and Arta office by using Redline RDL-2000 Point to Point (PTP) broadband wireless technology. Network components included 6 PTP links for distances varying from 1.5 km up to 24 km. RDL-2000 family solves middle-mile challenges by providing cost-effective, reliable point-to-point (PTP) connections in the most challenging conditions. The high throughput and low latency of these Enterprise grade, broadband wireless systems help oil and gas industry realize immediate gains and lower costs through inherent support for advanced applications such as transparent LAN, voice-over-Internet protocol (VoIP) and high-quality video.
The main objective of the solution is to provide reliable Non-Line-of Sight (NLOS) links between base transceiver station (BTS) in Vodafone Egypt cellular network by converting E1 lines into wireless IP connectivity by using TDM over IP converter and retrieve back the original signal by converting back the TDM into IP. The network component is only one AN80i PTP Backhauling link for a 6km NLOS link.
The main objective of this project is to provide reliable Non-Line-of Sight (NLOS) links between BTS’s and BSC’s in Etisalat Misr cellular network by converting E1 lines into wireless IP connectivity by using TDM over IP converter and retrieve back the original signal by converting back the TDM into IP. The network components are 20 AN80i PTP Backhauling links by using all types of antenna vary from one ft up to four ft antenna.
Three Base Stations will be installed at the three main sites to provide optimal voice/data coverage anywhere in the field. The Base Stations will be connected together by using PTP links. The network components are 5 AN80i Base Stations, 15 AN80i Subscriber Station, and 5 AN80i PTP Backhauling links
The main objective of this solution was to establish wireless connectivity between 15 offshore platforms, which are to be backhauled to their onshore HQ (Port-Said). This solution provided up to 8Mbps net throughput to each offshore platform, in order to cover all range of applications such as voice communications, live video streaming, SCADA equipment (remote monitoring & control), and fast connectivity to the corporate LAN. The network components are 3 AN50e base stations located @ Darfeel Plat Form, 10 AN50e subscriber stations for the off-shore remote sites, and 7 AN50e PTP backhauling links
The main objective of the solution is the replacement of microwave radio links and the associated auxiliary equipment with the latest state of the art microwave equipment between AOI HQ (Sakr Factory), Kader Factory and Helwan Factory for data, voice & video application.
This connectivity will be established through Mokattam Repeater (120m tower) to ensure LOS between all the sites. The system interfaces are IP + E1/T1 Wireless network based on Aviat Eclipse ETSI Microwave for wireless connectivity. The network components are 4 INUe chassis, 12 ODU, and 6 antennas (support 1+1 configuration)
The main objective of our solution is to install traffic monitoring video surveillance cameras throughout the Great Cairo. The video signals from the camera sites shall be backhauled to the control and monitoring stations via Pre-WiMAX transmission systems. Over 30 locations are continuously monitored using security cameras, live video streams are transmitted wireless to the police headquarters Wireless network is based on AN50e Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) and Point-to-Point (PTP) connection methodologies The network components are 10 Base Stations located @ Cairo Tower, Mokattam, and Al Darasa, 30 subscriber stations distributed over Great Cairo.
